Lowell Real Estate
& Community Information

Welcome to your one-stop resource for all things Lowell Real Estate!

Originally isolated at the center of miles and miles of farmland, Lowell began to prosper like many Midwest towns, when the railroad came through. The Louisville, New Albany, and Chicago Railroad connected the small farming community with the rest of the country in 1880, sparking industries like the sawmill and brick making, utilizing the natural resources of water power and the clay-rich soil of the region, respectively. Although Lowell now has its share of McDonalds and Walgreens stores, it still holds history and tradition dear to its heart, as evidenced by its vital and healthy downtown district.

Our experienced agents at Jana Caudill Team can help you find your ideal home in Lowell.

Shopping, Dining, Entertainment

The oldest Labor Day parade in Indiana happens every year in Lowell. Past years of the Lowell Labor Day Parade & Labor Day Fest have featured a giant community garage sale, a Texas Hold’em tournament, live music, beer garden, car shows, kids games, cook-offs, horseshoe tournament, magicians, and fireworks. And don’t forget the food: hot dogs and kraut, pierogies, Mexican mix, shish-ka-bobs, pulled pork sandwiches, kettle corn, elephant ears and more!

Just east of Lowell is Buckley Homestead, where visitors learn about pioneer times and farming life during the 19th and early 20th centuries on this living history farm. This site offers a number of events, including a World War II reenactment featuring authentic weapons and heavy artillery.

Some popular dining spots include George’s Family Restaurant with an extensive menu, McVey’s Restaurant, and Mi Ranchito for authentic Mexican home cooking.
